Henna art at a casino, sounds incredibly unlikely right?! Totally wrong! Mehndi by Tan applied henna tattoos for clients at Park Lane Club, London. An exciting and a unique booking indeed, and below is how and why it happened.
What do you visualise when you think “casino?”
Having visited Las Vegas last year, THE place of insanely larger than life architectural designs, and casinos themed after worldwide famous cities and their landmarks, I’ll tell you what came to mind. I thought of a flamboyant ambiance, second-to-none bars and service, world class lighting, lavish entertainment and a houseful of international clientele ready to spend some serious money. Okay, okay so Park Lane isn’t exactly Vegas, however it offers its own level of sass and class for sure, and it certainly left an impression.
Park Lane Club decided to create a memorable night in honour of their private international members by hosting an unforgettable Arabian themed casino night. The night consisted of beautiful belly dancers, wonderful musicians, a soulful live singer and a talented henna artist (yeah that’s me). A very specific focus on the beautiful Arab culture.
The atmosphere was phenomenal, with clients in high spirits, the live music setting the ambiance, attendees joining in with the singing and dancing, food being served at the restaurant, a busy bar, it was all happening. There was a lovely vibe in the air that night. There was a huge team behind the scenes ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to end.
Despite a unique environment for henna art to take place in, it was nonetheless a popular part of the entertainment. One may not naturally associate henna art with a casino at all, yet the event came together nicely and it was actually a perfect fit. White and gold temporary henna tattoos were offered to international guests, and some of whom had flown in from Dubai. There were Londoners present too, it was quite diverse.
Glitz and glamor seemed to be the theme of the night, from extravagant outfits, both women and men styled fashionabley, flamboyant jewellery and accessories on display, it was almost runway worthy! The henna art added a delicate touch of glitz and glamor for attendees, leaving clients in awe, mesmerised, and surprisingly quite relaxed too.
The entertainment followed for a few hours into the night and was well received. Mehndi by Tan participated in such an amazing night, and feedback from the event organiser, and attendees was perfectly positive. Some staff members also joined in and had henna tattoos applied.
All in all another hugely successful booking for Mehndi by Tan’s emerging portfolio of high end clients.
