Knight Frank is a global leading independent real estate consultancy (www.knightfrank.co.uk)

Of course I personally, was unaware of this at the time of exchanging dialogue with a member of their staff team regarding a booking! Once I had the go ahead to visit Knight Frank at their headquarters I casually shared the news of my booking with my friend who questioned, “You do know who Knight Frank are, right?” To this I shrugged and responded by using the Google search engine to do some research. To my excitement, I realised that this client was going to be epic towards enhancing my corporate portfolio, so I wanted to be 100% prepared. The excitement began as the realisation took over that this client would be as big as Discovery, Co-op and NISA.
My journey and dream of sharing the art of henna amongst the corporate sector is certainly growing, my vision is turning into a reality, is what came to mind.

I prepared and packed the henna cones, gathered my presentation set-up for the day, and set off to visit Knight Frank’s global headquarters in London, Baker Street. Upon arrival I stood across the road from the headquarters and I took a picture [see right] I felt excited, and the good nerves started surfacing. I paused, told myself that this was truly happening, smiled and crossed the road. I was ready to get creative.

Why was I visiting Knight Frank?
Knight Frank were holding a classy diversity event, celebrating different cultures, and varying traditions including music, dance and art. There were african drummers and dancers, bhangra dancers and henna art. The staff at Knight Frank all gathered towards the end of a busy working day and were able to observe the entertainment, participate in the henna art, whilst enjoying canopies and refreshments. Staff at Knight frank were very accommodating and friendly throughout the event and I felt very welcomed, a company I’d certainly return to, and work for again. I was able to engage in conversation with staff, respond to questions about henna art and share cultural awareness. It was lovely to see male staff members also get involved with this art form. People usually have a notion that henna art is for women alone, this is incorrect. There are many men across cultures who engage in henna application! Names of loved ones, tribal patterns, favourite football teams and slogans have been common henna tattoos chosen by men. I’ve even had a director from Pepsi Max request the company logo on his arm, and yes, I did it!

The event held by Knight Frank was well organised, creative, entertaining and their hospitality was second to none. It was a privilege to be a part of a multicultural diversity event, certainly one on my favourites list.
Thank you for the invitation to participate with your diversity event Knight Frank. It was an absolute pleasure to promote cultural diversity amongst your team through my henna art work.
